In this role as an Senior Manager Settlement Control you will be responsible for:

  • Evaluate and determine type of seg deficit and Assign Daily to teams responsible for the resolution of the deficit. Each team will update the system with the action used to correct the deficit.
  • Evaluate and Assign Aged Seg Deficits to teams responsible for the deficit.
  • Investigate each seg deficit, determine cause and update seg system.
  • Research every actionable and non actionable deficit to determine possible automated or processing solutions to eliminate occurrence./trending analysis.
  • Monitor all Daily Seg deficit responses and confirm resolution steps have been processed and Seg deficits are resolved.
  • Monitor all Aged Seg deficit responses and confirm deficit is resolved and required documentation has been received, saved on shared drive, and is in good order.
  • Manual reconciliation to confirm ops control approved every DTC Seg release.
  • Preventive Functions on S/D to determine if shorts have been covered/rehype needed. Work with M/O and desk to resolve which will prevent seg deficits. This would include reviewing the trades that are due to settle on the current day & monitoring the Real Time positions at the depots to determine what can be done to avoid a seg deficit the following day.
  • Supervisor/Four eyed approval of all manual seg releases at depositories.
  • Confirmation that our BPS seg position matches our depository seg position. Any out of balances will be advised to the settlement team and an adjustment will be required.
  • MIS Reporting of Seg Deficits and Root Cause Analysis, which will be used to identify trends. The settlement control team will evaluate this information and identify opportunities to automate or change/enhance a process to avoid the creation of the trending deficits.
  • Create MIS daily reports.

Do you have the skills you need to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Strong Excel Skills (Must be very comfortable with pivot tables and V Lookups- should be second nature to them) - 5+ years of hands on experience
  • 15C3 Possession and Control - Seg Experience - 3+ years of hands on experience
  • Strong documentation skills - 5+ years of hands on experience
  • Broadridge BPS experienced user
  • Familiar with DTC (Pos and ATAM)
  • International depository settlement knowledge
  • Operational Reconciliation skills
  • Extremely strong problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills - written & verbal (will be communicating with Business & Senior Management)
  • Someone who can think outside the box
  • Ability to handle complex situations
  • Education:
  • - Bachelors degree or equivalent
