Whitehall Resources currently require an experienced SAP DMC SME to work with a key client

*Please note this is inside IR35 and will be hybrid 50/50 in Cheshire*

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) in SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud (DMC) with a strong background in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) for the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will provide expert guidance and leadership in implementing, optimizing, and supporting SAP DMC solutions to enhance automotive manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:
. Serve as the primary technical and functional expert for SAP DMC implementations and integrations in automotive manufacturing environments.
. Analyze current automotive production processes and identify opportunities for improvement using SAP DMC capabilities.
. Design and configure SAP DMC solutions to meet specific automotive manufacturing requirements, including vehicle assembly, powertrain production, and component manufacturing.
. Develop and maintain solution architectures that integrate SAP DMC with other systems used in automotive manufacturing (ERP, PLM, Quality Management, Supply Chain Management, etc.).
. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project teams during SAP DMC implementations in automotive plants.
. Conduct workshops and training sessions for end-users and technical staff on SAP DMC functionalities specific to automotive manufacturing.
. Troubleshoot complex issues related to SAP DMC in automotive production environments and provide expert-level support.
. Stay current with the latest developments in SAP DMC, MES, and MOM technologies, as well as trends in automotive manufacturing.
. Collaborate with SAP and other technology partners to resolve product-related issues and influence product roadmaps to better serve the automotive industry.
. Develop best practices, guidelines, and documentation for SAP DMC implementations and usage in automotive manufacturing.
. Participate in pre-sales activities, including solution demonstrations and proposal development for automotive clients.
. Ensure SAP DMC implementations comply with automotive industry standards and regulations (eg, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3).

Required Qualifications:
. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
. Minimum of 8 years of experience in MES/MOM implementations in the automotive industry, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience with SAP DMC.
. In-depth knowledge of SAP DMC modules, including Production Operations, Plant Connectivity, and Manufacturing Analytics, as applied to automotive manufacturing.
. Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes, including assembly, body shop, paint shop, and powertrain production.
. Experience in integrating SAP DMC with SAP S/4HANA and other SAP and non-SAP systems commonly used in the automotive industry.
. Proficiency in data modelling, API integrations, and cloud technologies.
. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in the automotive sector.
. Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence decision-making at all levels of an automotive organization.

Preferred Qualifications:
. Master's degree in a relevant field.
. SAP DMC certifications.
. Experience with other MES/MOM systems used in automotive manufacturing (eg, Siemens, Rockwell, Apriso).
. Knowledge of MESA MES/MOM models, ISA-95 standards, and automotive-specific standards (eg, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3).
. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Industry 4.0 concepts in automotive production.
. Experience with quality management systems and traceability requirements in automotive manufacturing.
. Understanding of connected car technologies and their impact on manufacturing processes.
. Familiarity with agile project management methodologies.
