Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - Hertfordshire/Nottinghamshire (Hybrid role)
Exciting opportunity for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join a highly successful team dedicated to providing the best possible service to their customers. Looking for someone who is passionate about ensuring reliability and availability of Cloud systems 7 services. You will play an integral role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of their multi-cloud infrastructure on AWS & GCP.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, & manage scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on a multi-cloud infrastructure environment.
- Monitor system alerts, respond to incidents, and troubleshoot issues that arise.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve problems quickly.
- Conduct post-incident analysis to identify root causes & implement preventive measures.
- Work on problem management, including identifying recurring issues and implementing long-term solutions.
Knowledge and Experience
- Relevant Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2 years of proven experience in a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer role (AWS focus).
- AWS SysOps Administration Associate Certification required.
- DevOps Engineer Professional Certification is a plus.
- You should have a good understanding of cloud infrastructure and the AWS platform.
- GCP experience a plus.
- Experience with Scripting languages. You should be proficient in Scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and Powershell and have familiarity with containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- System Administrator. You should have a strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems and how to operate the same in cloud infrastructures.
- Previous hands-on experience with automation tools - Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
