Senior Data Analyst - 12 Month Contract - Outside IR35 - Hybrid

My client is looking for a Senior Data Analyst for a 12 month contract. It is a hybrid role where ideally the candidate will work 1 or 2 days a week in Cardiff, but this is not a deal breaker for an exceptional candidate.

The project will sit within the Finance team so any experience within Financial billing systems would be beneficial.

The role will initially involve coming in and working with the business to scope out and plan migration from a manual environment to a fully automated solution and then recruit and oversee an additional resource working together to implement the solution.

The role will involve a lot of stakeholder management, documentation and planning in the initial phase and candidates should have experience of interpreting data, analysing results, and providing insights to drive business decisions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to work with large datasets. This role requires someone who can effectively communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise with business stakeholders to understand the business problems
• Draft documentation and recommendations for solutions to move from manual to automated solution
• Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Present findings to stakeholders and obtain buy in and sign off for solution
• Develop and maintain complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from various databases.
• Utilize statistical methods to analyse data and interpret results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define key metrics and KPIs.
• Build predictive models and perform statistical analysis to forecast business trends.
• Design and create interactive dashboards and reports to visualize data.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
• Continuously monitor data quality and integrity to ensure accuracy.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data analysis and reporting.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the data analysis team.

Experience:

• Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role involving Senior Stakeholder Management
• Experience migrating from manual to automated systems
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Experience with statistical analysis and modelling techniques.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience in mentoring or leading junior team members is a plus.

The client is looking to interview next week and start date will be within 2 weeks of offer.
