Data Architect (Contract)

Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire Country: UK Rate: £60.00 per hour
 

iO Associates is looking for a Data Architect, to work for a global pioneer in the aerospace industry, operating in the commercial aircraft, helicopters, defence, and space sectors.

You'll collaborate with a team of data architects and software engineers to assist in data engineering tasks across various projects.

Locations: Stevenage, UK

Daily rate: up to £60 per hour Inside IR35

Working pattern: Hybrid

A successful candidate will have:

  • Proficient in Java, with advanced GIT skills
  • Experienced in developing and administering Database Management Systems
  • Familiar with object-oriented programming within an engineering framework
  • Previous exposure to Scrum development methodology
  • Familiarity with Agile practices and working with JIRA.
  • Preferred IDE: IntelliJ
  • Ideally from aerospace/space industry

Responsibilities:

  • Gather stakeholders' use cases and draft SRDB user requirements documentation.
  • Develop and document the plan for database tool development, content verification, and validation.
  • Formalize database ICDs (Interface Control Documents).
  • Establish database naming conventions and population rules.
  • Assist in developing and updating the database tool, collaborating with the development team, or providing direct support for Java-based solutions.
  • Develop and formalize the validation plan for database tools and content.
  • Perform validation of database tools.
  • Provide database documentation for Project Reviews.
