Joining the IT Asset and Configuration Management team as the Software Asset Manager, you will to be responsible for building and the ongoing management and maintenance of all software being utilized across the Rosa estate, as well as the planning for future software changes, improvements, and efficiencies across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a growing team in a modern and flexible working environment. This is a varied and exciting role for an experienced, intelligent and enthusiastic individual looking to drive forward the design and delivery of secure capabilities that will transform the Rosa Service.

As a Software Asset Manager your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Create, manage and curate a centralised master application catalogue, detailing all software currently in use across Rosa.
  • Act as a point of contact for all information relating to what software exists within the business and licensing queries.
  • Engage with stakeholders, in order to ensure process effectiveness and compliance.
  • Work closely with all departmental stakeholders across Rosa including Procurement, IT, and Security to understand and track licensing models and renewal dates.
  • Work with Jira Service Manager (JSM) and Insight/Asset tooling to help manage usage, versioning and other software data.
  • Continually identify opportunities for efficiency improvement, including reduction of licenses where possible and/or de-duplication of similar software packages.
  • Provide regular reporting relating to software utilisation, efficiencies, trends and capacity across the organisation.
  • Work with Finance/Procurement Teams to review and ratify software purchase and renewal requests that fall in line with current and future software plans.
  • Lead and manage regular Vendor audits specifically but not exclusively HPE, Red Hat, Microsoft, Adobe, etc.

Essential:

  • An active SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this position, as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks.
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of IT Asset Management.
  • Solid understanding of software licensing and deployment model.
  • Proven experience managing software procurement.
  • Proven experience implementing and maintaining SAM policies and procedures.

Desirable:

  • Experience or certification in ITIL (v4), specifically regarding the use of a CMDB.
  • Experience with budgets and financial reporting
  • Experience with Atlassian, Insight/Assets, ServiceNow, etc.
