Desktop Support Engineer (Trade floor) - Permanent - London - £40-42,000 + benefits
Synergize Consulting are now hiring for a Desktop Support Engineer to work at a leading client in the financial sector on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be working within a dynamic and fast-paced business environment, supporting critical systems and demonstrating high levels of customer care at all times.
Responsibilities include:
- High level escalations for complex technical issues and root cause analysis
- Carrying out incident and change activity delivering the productivity levels expected.
- Work across lines of service to ensure a co-ordinated approach to providing support for the customer.
- Ensure that assigned activities are completed within targets defined within SLA's/OLA's
- Assist with identifying team training and development needs.
Experience required:
- A strong background working in Technical Support roles, ideally gained within complex working environments
- Previous experience working in a trade floor environment would be desirable, or other financial or banking clients
- Experience of using Service Now to update logs and call records
- Strong technical skills with Microsoft Windows, Networking and Security, WAN, LAN and Exchange 2010 onwards
- Excellent understanding of ITIL Service Support, delivery disciplines and methodologies
- Experience in dealing with customers with tact and diplomacy using demonstrable interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well under pressure and to tight timescales
