Research and Development Engineer - Distributed Deep Learning Systems - HPC
We have a unique and compelling opportunity to work with one of the world's largest technology companies as they seek a highly skilled and motivated Research and Development Engineer to join on a full-time, freelance basis.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the research and development of high-performance software and algorithms for distributed deep learning, targeting large-scale computing clusters and cloud environments. You will be involved in the design, analysis, and development of tools and methodologies to support parallel and distributed software modules, ensuring the solutions meet industry-leading performance standards. Additionally, you will stay up to date with the latest academic research in the field and apply these findings to real-world software R&D projects.
To be successful in this position, you must hold a PhD or Post-Doctorate degree in Computer Science, Software Systems, or a related field, with a strong background in distributed and parallel software design (HPC). You should also have a proficiency with C++ and ideally, a notable track record of scientific publications or contributions to open-source projects.
This is a full-time, freelance, long-term position providing the opportunity to progress further through the business.
