Automation Engineer - Ansible/Linux/Python/DevOps - Long-term (Contract)

Automation Engineer - Ansible/Linux/Python/DevOps - Long-term

Empiric is partnering with a major European Institution where they are providing an exciting, long-term, contract opportunity for multiple, experienced Automation Engineers to join our customer on their mission-critical project in France. In order to be a successful applicant you must be very strong in Linux, Ansible and Python as these are the key technologies used in the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate system, network, and storage designs into automation tools.
  • Automate recurring maintenance activities and ensure the toolchain is up to date.
  • Contribute to projects related to your area of expertise.
  • Develop and maintain automation toolchains (EES WS and NUI) in line with validated designs.
  • Produce and deliver Ansible artefacts, Python scripts, and infrastructure configurations.
  • Collaborate on infrastructure design from an automation perspective.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and provide input for incident resolution and knowledge transfer.

Requirements:

  • Strong general IT experience with notable positions held as an Automation Engineer, or similar (DevOps/SRE).
  • Strong technical understanding across the IT stack, including storage, virtualisation, operating systems, and networking.
  • Proficiency in Ansible, Python, Linux Shell Scripting, and relevant tools like Ansible Tower, Git, and test-driven development.

Contract length - 12 months + extensions throughout the project
