Network Engineer Cisco IOS - this is a long term contract opportunity for our Basel based client in the agricultural sector.

Your tasks:

• Troubleshooting and resolving network incidents, as well as ensuring prompt issue resolution
• Managing end-to-end incident response, and escalating to specialized teams when necessary
• Acting as Major Incident Manager for high-impact incidents, coordinating resources and communication
• Configuring and troubleshooting Cisco, Meraki, and other networking equipment to maintain operational health
• Engaging with service providers, local contacts, and stakeholders to resolve connectivity and hardware issues
• Evaluating network performance, implementing changes, and maintaining system documentation and knowledge bases

Your experience/knowledge:

• Experience in supporting large multi-national corporate networks, as well as in troubleshooting and configuring WLAN technologies
• Working directly in Cisco IOS and the Meraki dashboard
• Firm understanding and application of network protocols and functions, coupled with the ability to leverage NMS tools to diagnose and triage issues or requests
• Familiarity with the use and limitations of syslogs, SNMP traps, device polling, NetFlow, and other management functions
• Cisco Certified Network Associate, or comparable certification
• Language skills: English
