Data Governance Expert - French Speaking - 2 Year Contract - Belgium

Our client, a market leader, is seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Data Governance Specialist to join their dynamic team in Belgium. This role is critical in ensuring that the company's data assets are effectively managed, secured, and utilized to drive business value.

To be successful in this role you must be a French speaker and have proven experience in implementing Data Governance practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Implementation of Data Governance Frameworks: Develop, implement, and maintain best practices in data governance to ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility across the organization.
• Data Policy Development: Create and enforce data policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business units, IT, and data stewards to define and enforce data governance strategies that align with the company's objectives.
• Data Quality Management: Monitor and improve data quality through continuous assessment, remediation strategies, and collaboration with data owners to resolve data-related issues.
• Metadata Management: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of metadata management solutions to ensure data lineage, cataloguing, and traceability.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to data privacy, security, and compliance, ensuring that all data governance practices align with GDPR and other relevant regulations.
• Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to promote a data-driven culture and ensure that all stakeholders are aware of data governance processes and their responsibilities.
• Reporting and Monitoring: Establish metrics and reporting mechanisms to monitor data governance effectiveness and provide regular updates to senior management.

Contract length - 24 months
