Senior Software Engineer - Traackr

Boston, MA; Remote-friendly with occasional in-person attendance for trainings, meetings, and team gatherings.

• Own Back End features end-to-end.
• Design and evolve distributed systems.
• Build and maintain APIs (REST/GraphQL).
• Establish strong engineering fundamentals.
• Apply an experimentation-first approach.
• Bring evaluation discipline to AI-assisted work.
• Use GenAI productively and responsibly.
• Mentor teammates.

• 5+ years building and scaling Back End systems.
• Strong JVM fundamentals.
• Production experience with Kotlin.
• Strong SQL + data modeling skills (PostgreSQL).
• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka) and cloud deployment on AWS; containers (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Strong communication skills.
• Comfort with AI-assisted engineering and the discipline to validate outcomes.

• Search/retrieval systems (Elasticsearch/Lucene).
• GraphQL.
• Workflow/orchestration (Argo/Airflow), Terraform/Ansible, Grafana dashboards.
• Working with external social APIs (TikTok/YouTube/Facebook).
• Data-driven systems at scale.
