About Product Management at Cloudflare

Senior Product Manager at Cloudflare are responsible for building products that improve the way the Internet works. PMs sit at the intersection of software development, design, and business strategy. They shape high-level goals while also getting hands dirty, pitching concepts to leadership, creating launch plans with marketing, conducting user research with designers, prototyping features, iterating on specs, analyzing usage data, and partnering with engineers on implementation. PMs understand client needs, influence business strategy, craft feature specifications, and collaborate with engineering to develop software.

Role

As a Senior Product Manager for Platforms within Application Performance, you will own the offering that enables Cloudflare customers to securely Proxy traffic to other zones protected by Cloudflare. This service supports major platform providers and SaaS companies hosting thousands of end-customer domains, giving end customers greater control over performance, security, and application logic. You will own the strategy for authentication, metering, billing, and the seamless integration experience for large platform partners. This outward-facing, high-impact role requires exceptional strategic partnership skills. You will work directly with our most significant platform customers-leading providers in e-commerce, content management, and SaaS-to understand their scale and integration needs.

What You'll Do
  • Own your space. You will own the priorities and scope, partnering with a high performing engineering team focused on one of Cloudflare's Application Performance products.
  • Connect the pieces. You will be a nerve center at Cloudflare, connecting engineering, program management, marketing, revenue, and partners to ensure timely and high-impact deliveries.
  • Excel across teams. Collaborate with product managers across the company to prioritize systemic improvements for enterprise customers.
  • Be customer obsessed. Engage with customers to understand how they use our products and bring insights back to the team to shape the roadmap.
  • Be data-driven. Analyze data to quantify problems and opportunities in your space.
Examples Of Desirable Skills, Knowledge And Experience

At Cloudflare, PMs are measured on outcomes and how they achieve results. Desirable skills and experience include:

  • 5+ years in product management, solutions engineering, or related roles
  • Experience designing or contributing to habit-forming product experiences
  • Experience defining and tracking KPIs to measure product or user behavior impact
  • Strong collaboration skills with engineering and design teams
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced, evolving environments
  • Customer-centric mindset with emphasis on user empathy
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn technical topics, especially in security or observability
  • Engineering fluency is a plus; a technical background helps credibility with engineering teams
Bonus points
  • PM experience for Edge infrastructure, high-performance web delivery, or network optimization
  • Experience delivering cloud infrastructure products at global scale
  • Data fluency to build confidence in your views and persuade others
Compensation & Equity

Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location. For Bay Area hires: Estimated annual salary $202,000-$246,000. For NYC, Washington, DC, and California (excluding Bay Area) hires: $192,000-$234,000.

Equity This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare's equity plan.
