Job Title: Senior Java Developer & Technical Analyst (1x position available)

Location: Remote Working - Amsterdam - (1x day a week onsite in Amsterdam is MANDATORY)

Duration: 6 - 12 Months Rolling Contract

Budget: €450 - €500 per day, all inclusive (OUTSIDE IR35)

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer and Technical Analyst to join our team in Amsterdam. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java development, particularly in Spring Boot and REST, coupled with a strong analytical mindset to effectively contribute to our lease domain projects. This role requires the ability to write high-quality code, create technical specifications, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and deliver exceptional solutions.

Responsibilities:

Senior Java Developer:

• Develop high-quality Java code using Spring Boot, REST, and SQL.
• Write comprehensive unit tests to ensure code reliability and maintainability.
• Independently implement user stories, taking ownership of the entire development process.
• Adapt to existing code styles and contribute to codebase improvements through refactoring.
• Collaborate with the team to enhance code quality and adherence to coding standards.

Technical Analyst:

• Gain a deep understanding of lease domain concepts and business processes.
• Work closely with Customer Journey Experts (CJEs) to refine user stories and requirements.
• Create clear and detailed functional specifications outlining the desired behavior of features.
• Generate technical specifications for new APIs, including analysis of integration points and logic implementation.
• Write user stories with precise requirements, facilitating implementation by other team members.

Requirements:

Senior Java Developer:

• Extensive experience in Java development with proficiency in Spring Boot, REST, and SQL.
• Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable code and comprehensive unit tests.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to work independently on assigned tasks.
• Willingness to take ownership of codebases and proactively refactor when necessary.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude towards improving team practices.

Technical Analyst:

• Ability to quickly learn and understand complex domain concepts related to lease management.
• Experience in refining user stories and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Proficiency in creating functional specifications and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical skills with the capability to evaluate system integration and logic implementation.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.

Team Compatibility:

Must be able to work on-site in Amsterdam on Tuesdays.

Excellent English communication skills to collaborate effectively with the international team.
