Java Software Developer (SC Cleared)
Portsmouth/Hybrid (3 days on site/2 days remote)
12 months initially
£55 Per Hour inside IR35/Umbrella

Due to the urgent nature of the role candidates must have current/transferrable SC Security Clearance.

Tasks & accountabilities
Development of code within an agile environment (scrum).
Working with the team to design, implement and test features for a new product development.
Task estimation in accordance with sprint planning)

Required Skills
Java Core (version 8+)
Spring Boot, Spring Framework - Good knowledge of Developing in Spring with Hibernate
Good Knowledge of developing REST within HTTPS
Experience of developing within a microservice architecture
Web Services using RESTful APIs
Distributed systems
Knowledge and use of software design patterns
Agile Development Processes
CI/CD delivery techniques
Source code management (we use GIT)
Use of Issue tracking systems (such as Jira)
UML/SysML using Enterprise Architect or similar
Ability to self-motivate and to work well within a team environment.
Ability to promote innovation in self and others
Ability to interact with internal & external stakeholders in a confident and professional manner
