Overview:

emagine is seeking a Python Developer to join our technology practice. You will have a background in Python Development, banking/financial services sector and passion for solving complex problems. This is a permanent position offering an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain good health of applications

  • Review peer code

  • Participate in daily agile activities

  • Coordinate with offshore team and assist or drive changes

  • Implement secure application best practices

  • Assist with internal audit queries

  • Support/Implement new design patterns

  • Write Unit test code that is developed

  • UAT the changes in UAT and QA environment

  • Develop and maintain high-quality Python applications.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

  • Collaborate with other developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Python Developer within banking

  • Banking/financial services experience

  • Expert proficiency in Python and its frameworks (eg, Django, Flask).

  • Strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies.

  • Exposure in handling high-volume data

  • Exposure to Redesign and changes

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Proven experience working on Front Office projects and collaborating with Front Office teams.

  • Knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL).

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools.

  • Understanding of Agile methodologies.
