IAM Test Manager

3-month initial contract with scope to extend

£650 per day - Umbrella engagement

London - 3x days a week

Sanderson is currently working with an organisation who require a Test Manager to define and lead the end-to-end testing strategy across Identity & access initiatives.

In this role the test manager will be overseeing and ensuring confidence in third-party delivered solutions, support business readiness through UAT and assuring access controls across people, systems and platforms meet security, risk and compliance expectations.

• Define, own, and govern the Identity & Access testing strategy across multiple parallel workstreams (eg Privileged Access Management, Remote Access).
• Establish testing standards, approaches, and entry/exit criteria aligned to organisational security, risk, and compliance requirements.
• Provide assurance over third-party testing activities, ensuring quality, coverage, traceability, and adequacy of evidence produced by vendors and delivery partners.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT), ensuring business scenarios, privileged identity life cycles, and access outcomes are fully validated.
• Oversee integration and end-to-end testing across identity sources, directories, IAM platforms, access technologies, and downstream systems.
• Manage test environments, test data readiness, defect management, triage, and resolution in collaboration with engineering teams and suppliers.
• Produce clear and concise test reporting, including risk assessments, quality metrics, and go/no-go recommendations for programme, security, and senior stakeholders.
• Ensure testing outcomes support auditability, traceability, and regulatory assurance for identity and access controls.
