Business Analyst - Policing Consultancy

Location: London (Hybrid)

Contract Type: 6 months (Likely extension)

Rate/Salary: £500-£550 per day

Overview:

iO Associates are working with a UK police organisation seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a background in policing consultancy to support a series of operational and digital improvement initiatives. The role requires strong analytical capability, stakeholder engagement experience, and familiarity with policing environments, systems, and governance. Applicants with NPPV3 & SC clearance (current or previously held) are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with operational and technical stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements across policing programmes.
  • Map AS-IS and TO-BE processes, identifying inefficiencies, improvement opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Support project activities including requirements validation, options analysis, documentation, and business case development.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement across departments including frontline policing, digital services, command & control, and corporate functions.
  • Contribute to change impact assessments, training needs analysis, and benefits realisation planning.
  • Ensure alignment with national policing standards, data protection legislation, and compliance frameworks.
  • Provide analytical support for system enhancements, digital transformation, and operational reform projects.
