Data Strategy Architect Expert (Contract) - UK Based

We're looking for an experienced Data Strategy Expert to support a forward-thinking software development house as they take their data environment to the next level.

In this advisory contract role, you'll work closely with senior stakeholders to shape data strategy, define target architectures, and guide best practice across governance, analytics, and platform evolution. You'll bring clarity, pragmatism, and a strong understanding of how data can unlock real business value in modern software-led organisations.

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience designing and advising on enterprise data strategies
• Strong background across data warehousing, data platforms, analytics, and governance (preferably from AWS and moving to other modern data stack technologies)
• Excellent track record of analysis current/"as-is" state and creating recommendations based on client requirements
• Ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Hands-on, pragmatic advisor mindset
