C# Software Engineer - Livingston, Hybrid

This is a fantastic opportunity for a mid-level Software Engineer to join a well-established technology business in the Central Belt of Scotland. You will be part of a new project team being spun-out to re-write and modernise a market-leading, Legacy application.

The role:

• Initially, the role will report into a Lead Developer, but over time as the project gathers steam it will become its own team, and this role has the potential to evolve into the Lead for that. Ultimately, if that is the case, you will switch to reporting directly to the Head of Engineering and a team will be build around you.
• They are re-writing a Legacy C++/MFC based application and need a mid-level software engineer who can read C++ code (and has ideally worked with C++) but is particularly strong in C#, WPF or Winforms. They are also developing a new Graphene based UI.

Ideally, you will have the following experience:

• Strong commercial exposure to C# and .NET
• Knowledge of desktop frameworks like WPF, Winforms, etc.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps
• Previous experience with C++
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
