A highly successful UK-based organisation is undertaking a significant phase of enterprise-wide digital transformation and is seeking an experienced IT Director to lead this journey.

This is a confidential senior appointment for a technology leader who can define, own, and deliver a modern IT and digital strategy aligned to long-term growth, operational excellence, and resilience.

The Role

Working closely with the executive leadership team, the IT Director will:

• Set and execute a forward-looking IT and digital transformation roadmap

• Lead the modernisation of systems, platforms, and infrastructure to enable scale

• Drive improvements in cyber security, governance, and risk management

• Oversee internal IT capability and strategic third-party suppliers

• Embed digital thinking across the organisation, improving efficiency and data-driven decision making

• Act as a senior advisor at executive level, translating strategic objectives into technology outcomes

The Individual

You will bring:

• Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role within a complex or growing organisation

• A demonstrable track record of delivering meaningful digital and technology transformation

• Broad technical and architectural understanding across cloud, applications, infrastructure, and security

• Experience operating within regulated, compliance-led, or mission-critical environments

• Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence operating at board or executive level

• A pragmatic leadership style with a focus on outcomes, not theory
