.NET Developer - Platform Migration Specialist (Contract)

3 months initially

Hybrid working - Newcastle on Tyne (3 days per week)

£450.00 per day (Outside IR35)

Description:

Are you a skilled .NET Developer with a passion for platform migration projects? Our client, a leading managed service provider, is seeking a talented individual to join their team for a 3-month contract. This exciting opportunity involves migrating an old platform to .NET 8, contributing to the modernization and optimization of our client's systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the development team to plan and execute the migration process.
  • Analyze existing systems and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement solutions using .NET 8 to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to guarantee the reliability and performance of the migrated platform.
  • Document all processes and procedures related to the migration for future reference.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in .NET development with a strong understanding of .NET 8.
  • Experience with platform migration projects is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of software development best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working in technology entertainment/gaming is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
