Data Engineer (Contract)
Location: Zürich Country: Switzerland
 

Data Engineer vacancy for our Zurich based client in the technology sector.

Your tasks:

  • Designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines to support data ingestion, processing, and analysis
  • Developing and optimizing ETL processes to ensure data quality and integrity
  • Collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
  • Implementing data modelling and database design for both relational and NoSQL databases
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting data pipelines to ensure reliability and performance
  • Ensuring compliance with data governance and security policies

Your experience/knowledge:

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and their data services
  • Knowledge of data warehousing solutions

Your soft skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
